Ingredients -
1 to 1 1/2 pounds ground sirloin
Salt and ground black pepper
cheese slices, your choice
Hawaiian sweet bread rolls
1/2 large yellow onion
Olive Oil or stick of butter ( unsalted )
Directions -
Chop onion.
In a large bowl, add ground sirloin, chopped onion, 1 tablespoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix together well.Take the now mixed sirloin and on parchment paper, use rolling pin to flatten into a 12-14 inch square. With sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut out 3-4 inch squares.
Take fry pan and heat to medium and lightly cover with 2 tablespoons of olive oil or half stick of butter. Take 1-2 patties and cook each side for 3 minutes, rotating each side twice.
Place cooked patties on rolls and add cheese and/or any other condiment you choose.
